Welcome to check in at The Triangle

The Triangle sits in Högstaby, halfway between Hemavan and Mo i Rana, right by Över-Uman. Here you stay close to the mountains, the lake and the nature all around. The house was newly built in 2023 to a high standard, with plenty of room for both quiet days and active outings.

The area offers great opportunities for hiking, fishing and experiences all year round. Hemavan is about 40 minutes away by car, with skiing and more activities. If you'd rather visit a larger town, Mo i Rana is within reach.

​

This is a place for those who want views, calm and nature close by, but also a house that works beautifully for longer stays, with a well-equipped kitchen, fibre wifi and room to truly unwind.

Even better than in the photos

What guests appreciate most is the view, the calm, the sauna and the feeling of the house. Several describe it as even better than in the photos, and say it works just as beautifully for winter days as for stays close to the lake and mountains.

What our guests say

The house is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. It combines exciting architecture, modern, elegant design and a fantastic view over nature. We loved the solitude and the calm of its setting right by the lake, and the magnificent hikes in the mountains on the Norwegian side of the border.

 

Relaxing in the sauna under the (almost) midnight sun was a wonderful experience. Herds of reindeer were a constant companion on our hikes. An absolute and unreserved recommendation.

Enjoy the calm and magnificent nature

The area offers great opportunities for both hiking and fishing. In winter there's skiing in Hemavan and ice-fishing equipment to borrow in the house, along with snowshoes, sleds and a bob for children.

 

There's also a canoe to use at no extra cost. Life jackets are available on site and must be worn.

 

The Triangle is also a place that works beautifully when the plan is to do nothing much at all. Light a fire. Take a sauna. Cook dinner. Sit for a long while by the window. Watch the light change over the lake.

About the accommodation

  • bed linen can be rented for an extra cost

  • the sleeping spaces for guests 7–10 are of a simpler standard than the others

  • a water purification system is installed, so the tap water is drinkable

  • firewood is included during your stay

  • more firewood is in the storage under the deck if you run out inside​
