Swedish Fika-tour with snowmobile

Catch the daylight and discover the nordic winter beyond the usual trails. Leave the well-known snowmobile trails behind and follow us out into the winter wilderness.

During four hours, we explore the landscape around Piteå from the snowmobile. We travel out into the archipelago, over the frozen sea ice, further over frozen lakes, rivers and marshes and into the deep winter-clad forests. We experience the freedom of driving through a landscape that is white, quiet and almost endless, and of leaving the usual tourist trails behind us and discovering places where not everyone finds themselves.

BEYOND THE ORDINARY PATHS

The tour is led by our experienced, local guides who know the area well and choose the route based on weather, snow and ice conditions and the experience of the group. The route is therefore not always the same. One day the journey may traverse the frozen sea ice and take you through the archipelago, the next day the forests, marshes and frozen rivers may be the focus.

The important thing is not exactly where we drive, but that we are out in nature and experience it from the snowmobile. This is a tour for those who want to drive more, see more and get away from the places that have already been discovered.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SNOWMOBILE OPERATORS

  • Valid driver's license required

  • The driver must be over 18 years old.

  • No alcohol may be consumed before or while driving.

  • You need to be able to understand safety instructions in Swedish or English

OVER THE FROZEN SEA ICE AND THROUGH THE WINTER FOREST

Winter changes the landscape in northern Sweden.

When the sea, lakes and waterways freeze over, new paths through nature open up. The frozen sea ice becomes part of the archipelago's winter roads, and lakes, rivers and marshes are transformed into places we can travel across. On this tour you will experience just that. From open white expanses to deep forests, from sea ice to snow-covered marshes. Since we travel during the day, you will experience the landscape in the special Arctic winter light.

SWEDISH FIKA OVER AN OPEN FIRE

Along the way we stop for a break in the winter landscape. Over an open fire, we warm ourselves up and enjoy a coffee in the middle of nature. The fire, the coffee and the cold winter air are a welcome contrast to the drive, before it's time to jump back on the snowmobile and continue our journey.
